GREG ANDREW
With over 20 years experience in combat sports and the health & fitness industry, martial arts and health and fitness has been my personal journey towards
self-improvement, self discipline and self-defense.

My Mixed Martial Arts Self Defense Program is the accumulation of the knowledge I've gained over
the years through the study of Korean martial arts, shooto, boxing, muay thai, wrestling & Jiu Jitsu.

The skills I've acquired in martial arts and health & fitness has allowed me to create a challenging MMA program for those interested in learning personal protection or physical training in a safe environment.
I also offer a hands-on therapeutic approach designed to restore movement & function, realign the body and relieve pain caused by injury, illness or disability.

BOXING
The Sweet Science
The current standup striking techniques of MMA are a fusion of traditional boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing. Boxing training, skills, foot work & techniques is essential, to be a complete fighter, but you also have to know how to defend against all the potentially dangerous strikes.

WRESTLING
The Clinch Game
Wrestling involves techniques such as clinch fighting, joint locks & pins Wrestling techniques are an integral part of MMA. When fighters successfully close the striking distance, they usually end up in a clinch and the fight often goes to the ground as a result of a takedown.

JIU JITSU
Ground Fighting
Jiu-jitsu is a grappling based fighting art that focuses on incapacitating opponents through the use of leverage against weak areas of the body. It's the ground fighting part of my program. My Jiu-jitsu classes are taught for mixed martial arts competition and self defense.

MUAY THAI
Kick Boxing
Muay Thai is the combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques, devastating knee strikes and kicks. It is characterized by the combined use
of fists, elbows, knees, shins and is absolute essential in MMA.

SHOOTO
The Takedown
Shooto is a Japanese martial arts system derived from combat shoot wrestling. The aim is to defeat the opponent by throws, takedowns, knockout or submission, but fights can also end by way of chokeholds, joint locks, kicks and knee strikes.

As an MMA trainer I am aware of the importance of conditioning for fighters, and for people that just want to train in martial arts for fitness & self defense. My exercise program covers physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology. kinesiology and sports nutrition.
